Note: This project was done in 2020, over a time of 3 months as an initiative for the design studio.
Problem statement:
What exactly are the blockers for a design-led engineering team to build the desired experience.
Process:
A team of 4 designers was involved in the research
We invested two hours per week for three months on research (Discover)
I was a moderator for the interviews from different teams i.e., development, quality assurance, product managers and leads
We collated all the research work to identify the problem areas, using thematic analysis approach
I took the opportunity to represented all the research data with problem areas in a Giga map
Outcome:
The designers shared improvement in four area of study, while the other stakeholders defined seven area of improvement of designers
The opportunitiy areas had overlaping areas which became the root cause of the Gap.
