Client: Jack Henry Associates | Role: UI Designer | Duration: Mar'21 to Sep'22
Jack Henry & Associates, Inc. operates as a financial technology company that connects people and financial institutions through technology solutions and payment processing services.
I joined the project when it was very close to MVP release. I started with functional testing and adherence to design system. Post MVP phase, I was assigned stories, which went through agile process, rounds of approval and shared UI team to implement in the upcoming sprint.
When a new story was assigned to me, I read it thoroughly. The Product Owner (PO) takes up a grooming session and I share the time estimates. The steps to approach the story are:
Read the requirement thoroughly
As per requirement see if User Interface desing is required or there are existing reference
If yes, create the user interface, share options and sync with internal team for feasible solution
If no, then confirm with UI team, that they donot require supporting visual design, as all the components available as per business logic
For the entire duration, I created 280 final screen UI for development
This was the first time I got to use Jira and was a part of active sprint delivery for MVP. The new learning for story points, and banking application which had lots of form fields. Organizing development handoff files as per user story.
Tools: Adobe XD, Jira, G-Meet
